Top 10 Best Web Hosting Reviews - SCAMS EXPOSED
Posted by: admin
Are “HOST REVIEW” sites honest? Are they unbiased, impartial, and factual… or are they just after your money? How does a hosting company get on the “top 10″ list?
Amazingly most hosting reviews websites have one thing in common: They are getting paid by hosting companies for reviews (either directly in the form of advertising or indirectly via affiliate commissions) — making their reviews extremely biased, one-sided, and highly questionable in terms of accuracy. They all promote the same group of companies.
The reason that the same hosting companies always make it to the “top” of the hosting comparison charts is because those companies, one way or another, pay to be listed there. These hosts include Host Monster, Blue Host, Lunar Pages, IX Webhosting, InMotionHosting, StartLogic, Host Pappa, Pow Web, etc.
It’s a well-known fact web hosting companies running their affiliate programs through Commission Junction offer among the highest affiliate commissions in the hosting industry. Thus “clever” PPC (pay per click) affiliate marketers decided: why not create websites with “top web hosting companies” lists and list these companies as “top”?
Hosting company reviews seldom base their “rating” on their quality of service (although many claim to). Instead, most of them rate a webhost on the *size* of the affiliate commission. Those web hosts offering the highest commissions usually get the top spots — because those hosting companies pay the most money.
So the next time you’re looking for the best web hosting company (and you undoubtedly come across a “reviews” site), STOP AND THINK: What’s their true objective? Are they providing you with impartial, unprejudiced facts? Or are they simply selling you a bill of goods, deceptively packaged in a “Top-10″ list bought and paid for in the Twilight Zone? Visit HOSTING-REVIEWS-EXPOSED.COM for more information.

I’m thinking about …
I’m thinking about switching myself. The service I go through seems to have a lot more downtime than I like. And images that I link elsewhere from my server seem to “red X” a lot. Which is very bad for what I do. Instead of going to tech support this time, I just started browsing for reviews. I looked up reviews on my specific host and they were almost godly on a top 10 site, not a thing wrong with them..I was sceptical of that top 10 right from there. So I came to youtube and found this.

In the interests of …
Marketing grows a business, but superior service keeps clients
In the interests of objectivity, I don’t make web hosting recommendations… but after you watch the video, you will have a better idea as to what to look for. Bottom-line: Who would you rather host with? A company that puts 70 cents out of every dollar into marketing? Or a company that puts 70 cents out of every dollar into service and better equipment?

That “reasearch well” is where I need help-How? I don’t know anyone personally that has a web site. Where should I look-anything you can point me to that gives a good unbiased review and/or summary?

I’ve used lp for …
I’ve used lp for about 3 years now, and I must say that I have not had a reason to complain yet. My site has never been down, I’ve never had a problem with various payment methods, my band width is admiral, the panel is solid also. For me, it’s perfect. I have yet to have a problem with any site that I have designed on their servers…so, I dont know, maybe it’s just my luck.

Thanks for your comments. Sorry to hear about your experience with Lunar Pages. The best bet for hosting is to research well and avoid the so-called TOP 10 Hosts.

Dot5 just …
Arrrgh!
Dot5 just caused me a great headache by shutting down my site because my podcast had “too much out-bound traffic”–this wasn’t even CLOSE to the 15,000 GB bandwidth they claimed to offer me. What is a good service, folks! …sigh. Okay. I got suckered by those sites, too.

I suspected this. Nice way by the way. Is there any place you can go to get an unbiased review because I am looking for a web host. I used one of these and ended up with Lunar pages and they are god awful.

Hello!?? LOL Go to hosting-reviews-exposed (dot) com and you’ll see that the #1 spot can be bought for $2,000. The #9 spot can be purchased for $600. Visit the site and look at the proof.
SO yes…. the top 10 spots can be bought!
Thanks for posting! I appreciate your comments!

Use of affiliate …
Use of affiliate links means nothing unless you can prove they are in the top10 only because of the affiliate link.
Theres nothing wrong with selling banner space on a site. You stil have to prove that its the top 10 / reviews that are $bought.
All youve done is speculate that these reviewers may be corrupt because they sell banner space or use affiliate links. Theres no proof.
By your logic, any site that sells banner space, or uses affiliate links, yet also has a top 10 list, is corrupt.

I agree, I tried …
I agree, I tried Office Live. Wasn’t impressed. No http://FTP. You have to use their website builder… and you’re stuck. Support took 24+ hours to get back to me. IF you’re looking for a good host, then try one that offers cPanel Web Hosting. Then Google their name and add the word “sucks”. Generally when people complain about a host, they use that word… and the results can be found on Google easily.

Thanks for the video man, what web-host do you think is the best cause office-live sucks and i need a new one lol

What if Rosie …
What if Rosie O’Donnell won the Miss America Pageant because she bribed her way to the top. Can you honestly say that would be acceptable results? Cheating is cheating no matter how you want to “spin” it.

“”How do we know …
“”How do we know that the more they pay the better the placement?”" To answer your question, visit this site: (hosting-reviews-exposed (dot) com. The site URL is at the end of the video. The site has copies of emails from one of these so-called ratings sites. If you pay $2,000 you get #1 placement…. $1,000 for #2 placement, etc…. all the way down to the #9 spot for $600.

How do we know that …
How do we know that the more they pay the better the placement? Pointing out aff. links and advertising space does not prove this is how the site owner operates his website. I first posted because I found a site like this and the admin was very helpful in providing info and help when I was new to hosting. I knew he was making money but he was very helpful. I guess some sites might operate like how you are saying. I just don’t think we should throw them all under the bus though.

Jsurej, if you …
Jsurej, if you don’t get it, I’ll explain. The video shows how hosting company ratings are not based on facts, but instead based on dollars. The more you pay, the better your rating.

Thanks for the …
Thanks for the feedback, but you’ve missed the obvious question: Should the truth be for sale? Host ratings currently *are* FOR SALE and these so-called top-10 sites are misleading. “Ratings” are not based on objective information, nor are they based on the consumer experience; they are financially motivated. The hosting company that can pay the most, gets the best rating. That’s the spin and that’s the fact.

I don’t get it? …
I don’t get it? Every website has affiliate links. You have shorted these sites the service they are providing. Shopping for a host can be a big task when looking for what you want. They have created a place to search and compare different hosting plans and features in one easy interface. Some have databases with thousands. It’s EASIER! But if you want to try and criminalize them with your police lights and big exposed sign go ahead. Spin on spin doctor. Spin on

Thank you for doing …
Thank you for doing this. Most people believe what anyone writes, and if Google lists it, then it must be real. WRONG. Exposed is perfect. Most of these companies on the top 10 are affiliates of each other, and therefore have thousands upon thousands of links. Yes it is true, if you have the money, you can get to the top of anything, even get a president elected, but on Google, you also need thousands of links to get to the top of these indexes.
